About this Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead PreK Room Teacher to join our team at Precious Angels Christian Academy in Clinton Township, MI. As a key member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children in a nurturing and supportive Christian environment.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans

Provide a safe and loving environment for children to learn and grow

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides

Observe and assess children's developmental needs and progress
Requirements:

Minimum: Child Development Associate certificate in Early Childhood Education

State certification or licensure for teaching early childhood education

Experience working with young children in a classroom setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for providing a nurturing and educational environment for children

Pay Range dependant on experience $17 - $30/hr
Years Experience: 3 - 5 Years
Rolls and Responsibilities
This is a PreK classroom working alongside an assistant teaching 4-5 year olds. The classroom free to families who qualify. Candidate must be computer literate and have the ability to communicate well with parents. Knowledge of the creative curriculum is helpful but not mandatory. Ability to set goals and observe children as well as take notes as children learn and grow.

Lead Teachers must meet the GSRP qualifications upon hire. A Lead Teacher will be considered credentialed for the position with minimally any of the following:

A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement;
Or

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education”.
